Wenjin Zhao, The Chinese Academy of Engineering Revisit Orient
In the afternoon on Sept.16th, 2017, Wenjin Zhao, academician of Chinese academy of engineering who once visited Orient on June 15, 2017 three months ago, came to Orient Energy & Technology Co., Ltd. again, Mr Yin Yongqing, the chairman of Orient accompanied in whole journey, also invited the leaderships from QingHua development institute, three sides carried on in-depth discussion and exchange on the company's future development and utilization of hot dry rock and strategic and technical ideas of environmental governance, and at the same time reported to academician Zhao of the progress and achievements on geothermal energy utilization of the company nearly three months.
Mr. Yongqing Yin welcomed the arrival of academician Wenjin Zhao, and highlighted the development of the company on the dry hot rock projects. He said that the development of dry hot rocks as the future development direction of the company is of great strategic significance and conforms to our current social and economic development. At present, the development of geothermal energy is mainly applied to heating and generating electricity. The hot dry rock resources in our country is about in the same order of magnitude with the United States, the hot dry rock for land resource is 856 trillion tons of standard coal, according to international standards, with its 2% as recoverable resources, the national land area hot dry rock recoverable resources is 17 trillion tons of standard coal, it has a great market space for development. However, there are still problems in the large-scale development, and Orient is focusing on the key strength and key funds to overcome the technical difficulties and, he hoped that academician Zhao would give more valuable opinions.
Academician Zhao acknowledged the company's development strategy and recognized the company's mission to "develop green geothermal energy and reduce fossil energy development". With the shortage of energy supply and environmental pollution control in China, the development and utilization of renewable energy and strict energy saving have become an important way to solve the above problems. Geothermal energy as a clean, renewable energy can replace and save conventional energy consumption and reduce environmental pollution. Energy development and utilization of geothermal, in our country the present tense, environmental awareness growing today, has its profound and practical significance, also academician Zhao said he and his team will try to give technical support and help the geothermal development project of Orient.
